About: Rachael Fell – profile piece
Rachael Fell is an Associate within our Residential Property department, and has over 30 years’ experience within the legal sector. Find out how she became so accomplished, below…
What’s your biggest achievement – professional or personal?
Passing CILEX exams. This was done whilst working full time with children. As all CILEX members will testify, you cannot take law books into the examinations – therefore it is a comprehensive test of memory and application.
Tell us a bit about your background…
I come from Bromsgrove in Worcestershire. I started my legal career as a Legal Secretary in 1988 and worked my way up. I started the CILEX course in 1995 and became a fee earner in the same year. At that point, I specialised in Litigation and conducted my own advocacy, but have carried our fee earning work in all departments whilst training.
I am personable, friendly, approachable and happy to go the extra mile for any client.
What do you like to do outside work?
Spending time with my partner and children. I am also looking forward to my first holiday abroad in 13 years in April this year!
What about the way you approach your work makes you unique?
I am personable, friendly, approachable and happy to go the extra mile for any client.
Where did you study and what training and education do you have?
I studied Law at Worcester Technical College initially in 1995. I obtained Associate status with CILEX in June 1998. I have since undertaken the CILEX Level 6 examinations via CILEX Distance Learning, in Litigation and Conveyancing and passed both – Litigation in 2001 and Conveyancing in 2018.
